Privacy policy

We take protecting your personal data seriously and treat it confidentially, in accordance with applicable data protection laws (GDPR) and this privacy policy.

Introduction and overview

We have drafted this privacy policy (version October 2025) to explain to you, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and applicable national laws, which personal data we — as the controller — and the processors we commission (e.g. providers) process, will process in future, and which lawful options you have.

In short: We inform you comprehensively about the data we process about you. If any questions remain, please contact the responsible party named below or in the imprint.

Scope

This privacy policy applies to all personal data processed by us in the company and to all personal data processed by companies commissioned by us (processors). Its scope covers all our online presences (websites, online shops), social media presences, email communication and mobile apps.

Legal bases

We only process your data if at least one of the following applies: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or our legitimate interests that do not override your fundamental rights (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). In addition to the EU regulation, national laws apply — in Austria the Data Protection Act (DSG), in Germany the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

General visitor data

When you visit this site, our web server automatically records general info (IP address, date/time, page requested, data volume, browser type, referrer). This data is used solely for security and statistical purposes (server logs), is not personally linked, and is deleted after a short period. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the secure and efficient operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Contact & contact form

If you contact us via the form or email, your details (name, email, message) are stored to handle your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual/contractual measures) or our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data is deleted once no longer needed, or processing is restricted if statutory retention periods apply.

Cookies & tracking

This site currently uses no tracking cookies and no web analytics tool. If that changes, we'll ask for consent via a cookie banner first.

Fonts

This site uses the "Inter Tight" font via Google Fonts. When the page loads, your browser data (incl. IP) is transmitted to Google. We recommend — and plan — to host fonts locally to avoid this.

Storage duration

We only store personal data for as long as is strictly necessary to provide our services and products. We delete personal data as soon as the reason for processing no longer applies. In some cases we are legally obliged to retain certain data even after the original purpose has ceased, for example for accounting purposes.

Your rights

Under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR you have the right at any time to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Art. 77). For Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (dsb.gv.at); in Germany the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI). To exercise your rights, contact us informally at kontakt@ganzviel.com.
